REVEALED: What You’ve Been Doing Wrong With Your Scrambled Eggs
It's one of the easiest breakfast foods to make at home but it turns out, we've been making scrambled eggs wrong our whole lives!
One of the most common mistakes people make is adding milk or cream.
According to Alison Spiegel from The Huffington Post, the addition of any liquid actually makes your eggs dry.
“By thinning out the eggs, it's easier to overcook them,” she says. “Most importantly, the milk dilutes the taste of the eggs.”
The added liquid also messes with the texture of the eggs, leaving them slightly rubbery.
Comparing the appearance of the two, the lighter colour of the eggs with milk is a sign of less flavour.
So what’s the secret to perfect scrambled eggs?
“If you're using good, farm fresh eggs, you don't need anything except maybe a little salt and pepper to make them taste delicious,” says Spiegel.
So there you have it folks, it’s officially time to stop adding milk to your eggs!
