It’s an age-old debate: What goes in the cup first, the milk or the tea? We finally have the answer!
Forget what you think you know, it turns out that the milk should always come before the tea, according to the British Standards Institution anyway.
If your mind is blown don’t worry, you’re not alone… we’re pretty sure most people on the planet would disagree.
“If you're making tea in a cup - do not add the milk first as it lowers the temperature and makes it difficult to judge the strength,” says a senior tea buyer speaking to The Mirror.
“It reduces the water temperature so it doesn’t brew properly.”
