Valeria Lukyanova Gives Insight In To Life As Living Barbie Doll
And I bet you thought she wasn’t real... well Valeria Lukyanova or the ‘Living Barbie’ as you may know her has been speaking with American magazine 'V'. The 21 year old Ukrainian singer/model/spiritualist and Youtube sensation has spoken out about her life and what motivates her to be who she is.
As you can imagine she cops a fair bit of flak for her unique looks and absurd philosophy but is unperturbed saying "I know the other side of celebrity is negativity, but I see it in a positive light. If people care about me, then I am on the right path... I'm happy I seem unreal to them, it means I'm doing a good job. Its hard work, but they dismiss it as something done by surgeons or computer artists. This is how they justify not wanting to strive for self-improvement."
When asked what it was that she’d like to be known as, she responded with, "a teacher at the School of Out-of-Body Travel... It's an international school in which our instructors show students how to leave their physical body and travel in their spiritual body, where you can visit any place on the planet and in the universe... I know that this is the future of mankind and that it has huge potential."
She gives us a little insight in to her daily routine, how anyone could be bothered with this is beyond me, anyway...
"In the morning I work on my face and I get a massage, then I spend some time on the Internet. I meditate and travel in my astral body and after that I work out at the gym. I go for a walk with my best girlfriend, I get home and I make dinner for the man I love."
Sounds fascinating please do go on...
"Then I spend some more time on the Internet, do some reading and meditating and go to bed." I was on the dole for a week once, apart from the massage bit, this sounds very similar.
Valeria is very much aware that she has started a movement that could eventually make its way in to western youth culture. With notable imitators such as Dakota Rose, Anastasiya Shpagina and Venus Palermo and you though having a Goth kid was bad.
