New Zealand Baby Names Banned List Revealed
No, You Can't Call Your Baby Anal!
Earlier in the week we revealed Australia's top baby names, now comes a list of New Zealand's baby names that have been rejected because they were too offensive or plain weird.
There are 77 names on the list including Mafia No Fear, Lucifer, 4Real, V8, Queen Victoria and a child who was set to be called "Anal" before officials stepped in.
The names weren't all offensive or weird… some were just plain lazy with some families wanting to name their children "2nd", "3rd" or "5th".
In New Zealand it's also forbidden for a child to hold an official rank or title, meaning that King, Duke and Princess have also been turned down since the banning of names in 2011.
The most bizarre names that have previously been banned are "Yeah Detroit", "Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii", "Sex Fruit", "Number 16 Bus Shelter" and twins named "Benson" and "Hedges" and "Fish" and "Chips".
Most surprisingly is if you want to follow a celebrities lead and name your newborn Banjo, Free, Apple or Seven then prepare them to be rejected as well.
More Babies! Yay!!
