Through his death we learn about the wonder of Janus cats.

Sometimes, it takes the extinction of an animal for us to learn how awesome it is, and that is definitely the case of "Frank and Louie" who has passed away, aged 15 from cancer.

While Frank and Louie weren't the only Janus cats (a normal cat born with two working faces) ever born, but, at the age of 15, he (they) lived the longest and have sparked worldwide interest in this adorable mutation.

Owner Marty guaranteed their place in history 2012 when she applied for a place in the Guinness World Records for her beloved kitty as the longest surviving example of the cat. Normally, Janus cats suffer from breathing or brain difficulties and don't live very long.

Rest in peace, little buddy!
