This Girl Got Awkwardly Asked Out Using A Hand Drawn WhatsApp Message
How would you respond to this?
Asking a stranger out is never easy. But one guy decided to go to extreme lengths to impress a girl he noticed in the library.
How? He made a hand drawn WhatsApp message on a piece of paper, and handed it to Naomi Lucking, who was studying at the University of Southampton’s library.
Unfortunately Naomi has a boyfriend so had to decline, but decided to share the note on Twitter with the caption, “Some guy in the library gave me this and it was the most awkward experience of my life. 10/10 for creativity though”.
Despite being rejected, Alfonso has become a bit of an online star.
Alfonso told MailOnline, “She was about to give the card back. And I said ‘no, keep it I made it for you’.”
“I felt okay because I thought I have tried it and it didn’t work this time. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. It doesn’t matter.”
And he definitely wasn’t upset that the images Naomi shared had his phone number clearly displayed.
“A few hours later a girl called me and said ‘what you did is really great. I will definitely go for a coffee with you’. Women have been calling from Belgium, Nottingham and Switzerland,” he said.
Props for trying - and the message was actually pretty cute!
