Having A Baby In Your 30's Could Lead To A Smarter And Healthier Child
A recent study suggests that a mother's age could have a significant impact on their child's intelligence and health.
Scientists who have had their research published in the Biodemography and Social Biology journal found that babies whose mothers were in their 30s had the highest cognitive scores.
Another finding was that babies whose mothers were in their 40s are far more likely to be obese.
"First-time mothers in their 30s are, for example, are likely to be more educated, have higher income, and more likely to be in stable relationships," Dr Alice Goists explained to The Times. "[They'll] have healthier lifestyles, seek prenatal care earlier and have planned their pregnancies."
