Teen Hit By Car, Told 'I Can't Stop, It Will Scare My Kids'
This is the story of 17-year-old Taron Stead who was hit by a car while riding his new bike and instead of the driver getting out and calling an ambulance to ensure he was ok - he was told they wouldn't help him due to his scary appearance.
Taron was riding his bike when he was hit by the silver car in the UK suburb of Sheffield, suffering cuts and bruises to his face. According to Taron, the man who was driving the car stopped and a female got out. She looked him over to make sure he was still alive and then explained to him she couldn't stay and help him because she was late taking her kids to school and the blood on his face would scare them. She then drove off and left him to fend for himself.
Taron's Mother Naomi told The Star "I can’t believe anyone would leave an injured child at the side of the road after a crash, but it was rush hour and it would have been busy so I am hoping that witnesses come forward and help the police trace the driver. There is CCTV in the area too. hope the driver and his passenger who drove off see Taron’s injuries and think about their actions. Fortunately he was wearing a helmet, or I dread to think what might have happened.”
Luckily Taron is ok but Police are asking for witnesses to come forward
