Underboob Selfies Can Now Land You 5 Years In Jail In Thailand!
Put the phone down!
In one of the more bizarre news articles of the day, the Thai government has declared ‘underboob’ selfies unlawful!
The 2007 Computer Crimes Act in Thailand bans any material the government feels might “cause damage to the country’s security or cause public panic” and “any obscene computer data which is accessible to the public.”
The government have now set their sites on the social media trend of ‘underboob’ shots – and the consequences are huge.
If you are found posting your underboob in Thailand you could face up to five years in prison – though it is unclear how the law would be enforced, as most offenders don’t include their faces in their photos.
Speaking to the Guardian, ministry spokesman Anandha Chouchoti said, “When people take these ‘underboob selfies’ no one can see their faces. So it’s like, we don’t know who these belong to, and it encourages others to do the same.
“We can only warn people to not take it up. They are inappropriate actions.”
What’s next? Side boob outlawed? Cleavage?
