Review: Miley Cyrus' Bangerz Tour
She certainly hit the stage with a BANG!
“Sydney, you ready to party?” They sure were after Miley Cyrus slid down her own tongue to kick of the show, greeting the screaming crowd with a smile that lit up the packed out arena from wall to wall!
After opening the show with her smash album title-track, Bangerz, she wasn’t quiet in mentioning her love for Australia! Throughout the show fans threw everything from sunglasses to a koala backpack at her, which she was more than happy to put on, taking her already exuberant costume choices to the next level.
As well as performing her well-known hits, Miley belted out some songs you probably wouldn’t expect from her - but as she put it she’s been “doing this tour for a while and can do what she wants,” rocking the arena with covers of Etta James, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin.
Top-notch vocals were complemented by an incredible stage show and troop of dancers. Miley soared above the arena riding a hot dog, performed an entire song on top of a gold 4WD, and looked into the eyes of a giant replica husky of her late dog, Floyd. Miley told the crowd to treat people like a puppy does, always happy and judgment free! “Animals are our ultimate teachers,” she said.
Finishing the show with “We Can’t Stop”, “Wrecking Ball” and “Party in the U.S.A.”, Miley’s Bangerz tour certainly went out with a bang in Sydney!
The Bangerz tour wraps up in Perth on Thursday, tickets are available through Ticketek.
