Miley Cyrus’ Moving MTV VMA Acceptance Speech That No One Saw Coming
Miley Cyrus’ controversial twerking duet with Robin Thicke at last year’s MTV VMAs was the most talked about moment and it looks like she may have done it again this year… but for all the right reasons this time.

Miley took out Video Of The Year for Wrecking Ball (no surprise there!), beating out Sia, Pharrell Williams, Beyoncé and Iggy Azalea.
But what DID surprise us was that she sent someone else up to accept the award on her behalf, while she sat and watched from the audience.
Taking her place on stage to accept the award from Jimmy Fallon was a formerly homeless man named Jesse.
The reason behind it? To raise awareness of youth homelessness.

“My name is Jesse and I am accepting this award on behalf of the 1.6 million runaways and homeless youth in the United States who are starving, lost and scared for their lives right now. I know this because I am one of these people,” Jesse said.
He also instructed fans to head to Miley’s social media where she’s asking people to donate to My Friend’s Place, a homeless shelter in Hollywood.
Miley got very emotional during Jesse’s speech and had a lot of love for him after the special moment: "my favorite dude ever #jesse #myfriendsplace #mtvvmas2014."
MTV even thanked her for the amazing speech.
Check the speech out below.
Plus, Blue Ivy's adorable moves.
Nicki Minaj stunned the audience at the MTV VMAs with her performance of 'Anaconda', however that wasn't what caught the most attention.
The MTV VMAs are underway in California, and Scoopla will have all the latest red carpet fashion, breaking news from inside The Forum Theatre and of course the moonmen winners.
It’s only hours before the MTV VMAs kicks off, and the celebrities have already started partying. But things took a sad turn during Chris Brown’s pre-VMA celebration.
