LISTEN: G.R.L.’s Touching Tribute To Late Band Member Simone Battle
Girl group G.R.L. has dropped their first single since the death of band member Simone Battle in September last year.
Simone tragically took her own life just as the group was experiencing international success with their hits Ugly Heart and Wild Wild Love ft. Pitbull.
Understandably, the band has been very quiet ever since and even their social media pages have remained untouched since they posted tributes to their friend.
But it looks like they’re now ready for a comeback with the release of their new song Lighthouse, which we heard a snippet of late last year.
The touching track was written about and dedicated to their late friend by the girls.
“When the night gets cold and the lights go out. The sun is down, you're high in the clouds. When you feel lost, then I'll reach out, to guide you home with my Lighthouse,” the group sing in the heart-wrenching chorus.
Listen to the incredible full song below.
