Mick Jagger Gives the Gift of Learning
Rolling Stones frontman remembers partner’s life by changing the lives of those less fortunate.
This is just lovely, touching, and so sad.
The fashion and music worlds were deeply shocked last year by the sudden passing of fashion designer and long term partner of Mick Jagger, L'Wren Scott.
The Rolling Stones frontman has had some time to grieve and think about how he might like to honour her memory, and we have to say that what he has come up with sounds tasteful, honourable and reflective of his girlfriend’s talent and passions.
A scholarship, lasting for three years and covering fees and partial living expenses for a Masters student attending Central Saint Martins fashion school at the University of the Arts, London has been dedicated to L’Wren; an esteemed designer who dressed fashion glitterati including Sarah Jessica Parker and Nicole Kidman.
Her apparent suicide was a complete shock to her 71-year-old partner, who cancelled large sections of the Rolling Stones world tour (including the Australian leg) in the wake of her death.
