Lorde Reaches Out To Humiliated X Factor Contestant With Very Special Message
This is incredible!
It would seem that Taylor Swift’s kind spirit and baking skills have rubbed off on NZ teen sensation Lorde – with the singer reaching out to recently scorned X Factor contestant Joe Irvine with some kind words and baked goods!
The 18-year-old songstress, who originally hails from Auckland, sent Irvine some cupcakes and a touching note after judges Natalia Kills and Willy Moon verbally attacked him during Sunday’s show.
Following his rendition of Justin Timberlake’s ‘Cry Me A River’, Kills viciously accused Irvine of copying her husband Moon’s style.
Kills and Moon have since been dropped from the show after a social media storm, which included some pretty high profile names including Ellie Goulding and Ed Sheeran.
Now Lorde has reached out to Irving with some sweet treats that spell out ‘Keep Being Joe’ plus an inspiring note that urged him to continue being an individual.
“Hi Joe. Just wanted to say your individuality, positive energy & spirit are infectious! I think you’re doing an awesome job on the show so far. I’m a performer too & I wanted to say that no matter how many people make fun of me for how I dress, move & act, I’m being me – and that’s what’s important.
Good luck & lots of love,
In the meantime many fans have pointed out over Twitter that Natalia Kills’ own look is far from original!
For her part, Natalia took to her Twitter page amidst a barrage of online hate to write this message:
