5 Things You Need To See From The Chanel Haute Couture Show
A Pregnant Bride, Flip-Flops, Punk Hair, Kendall Jenner & More
Fashion’s darling, Karl Lagerfeld, presented a dramatic baroque inspired Autumn/Winter haute couture collection in Paris last week, bringing embellishment back!
The show, which took place on a minimalist white runway, was held at the iconic Grand Palais where adorned dresses, tweed and punk hairstyles took centre stage.
The five things you just MUST see from the show are:
Kendall Jenner (yes, from the Kardashian’s) made her haute couture debut, firmly cementing her place in the fashion industry. She rocked a red and black off-the-shoulder plaid dress that was decorated in feathers. Her hair in a punk-inspired up-do.
The show was somewhat inspired by the Marie Antoinette era with some 80s boy band references too. However, despite these historical references the show was modern and fresh. Weirdly, it worked.
Karl Lagerfeld was joined for the final runway walk with pregnant model Ashleigh Good. She donned a white neoprene wedding gown that complemented her bump beautifully.
Every model wore thongs (the ones for your feet) down the runway. A good way to avoid an embarrassing fall perhaps?
Jared Leto attended the show. In gold sequinned pants. Need we say more?
