Steve Jobs Monument Removed After Apple CEO Comes Out As Gay
Last week when current Apple CEO Tim Cook came out as gay, it was a very important day for many people around the world… but not everyone feels the same way.
There are reports that a monument honouring former Apple CEO Steve Jobs, in the form of a giant mock iPhone, has been taken down in St Petersburg due to Cook’s announcement.
The monument was erected by Russian company Western European Financial Union (WEFU) on the grounds of an IT university in January 2013 and features an interactive screen with information about Jobs.
According to a Russian radio station, WEFU company chief Maksim Dolgopolov said it had been removed in compliance with Russian law that bans the spread of "propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations" among minors.
Following the publication of Cook’s coming out essay on October 30, prominent St. Petersburg antigay activist Vitaly Milonov was quoted as saying Cook should be banned from Russia because “he could bring AIDS, Ebola, or gonorrhoea into the country.”
What was meant to be announced tomorrow, has been leaked today.
Buying a house is extremely expensive these days and almost impossible for some… but not if you have the new iPhone 6.
The iPhone 6 is under fire again with a new issue that will see you ripping out hairs, literally.
