If You're Reading This On Your Phone, It Just Cost You An Hour Of Sleep

According to a new study, using your phone before you sleep is costing you those precious hours of dreaming about Ryan Gosling.

Doctor Paul Gringas in the UK has conducted a study that focuses on the type of light that is emitted by your phone - in particular green or blue.

He claims: 'There is converging data to say if you are in front of one of these devices at night-time it could prevent you falling asleep by an extra hour. Ideally future software design could be better optimised when night-time use is anticipated, and hardware should allow an automatic “bedtime mode” that shifts blue and green light emissions to yellow and red as well as reduce backlight/light intensity.’

So wait Doc... are you saying checking how many likes we've gotten on our latest selfie is costing us an hour a night? 7 hours a WEEK? That's like a WHOLE NIGHT'S SLEEP.

That's it. We've had it. No more Instagram...not until tomorrow at least ;)
