Shock Changes Rock The New Season Of The Block
The Block is set to return to our screens this year, and things are about to be shaken up.
Due to the disaster auctions in The Block: Glasshouse, Channel Nine has made some changes to The Block: Triple Threat.
Last year, disasterous auction outcomes on The Block: Glasshouse left many viewers gobsmacked with Brothers Shannon and Simon making $335,000 profit and taking home the $100,000 winners’ prize.
Chris and Jenna scored $310,000, but then Maxine and Karstan made $40,000 with Michael and Carlene and Darren and Deanne taking home only $10,000 between them.
Three new buyer' advocates will be added to the show's lineup who will help contestants alongside the regular judges Shaynna Blaze, Neale Whitaker and Darren Palmer.
Nicole Jacobs, Frank Valentic and Greville Pabst will score alongside the contestants' scores for each other's rooms, and the winning team will receive $5000 on the Monday night episode.
Meanwhile on the Sunday episode of the show, rooms will be revealed and be judged by Palmer, Whitaker and Blaze with the winning teams netting $10,000 to put towards their renovation.
The same judges will also mentor the teams that receive the lowest scores on the Sunday night episodes and work with those teams on any weak points such as styling and colour palettes.
