Web Guy 31 August, 2009 - 4:39 PM
Blink 182 paid tribute to the late DJ AM on Saturday at their Connecticut gig. DJ AM, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, was found dead in his New York apartment on Friday.
Saddened by the sudden death of their friend, Blink 182 called for a moment of silence and turned down the lights at their concert in Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday.
Bassist Mark Hoppus told fans, "We lost a dear friend yesterday. His name was Adam Goldstein. You probably know him as DJ AM. He was an innovator and a genius and he loved music more than anything else. Above all he was a dear friend."
Blink 182 also dedicated their 2004 single Down to DJ AM.
Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM survived a 2008 plane crash which killed four passengers.
