2012 Grammy Awards Posted by The Dirtiest 10 February, 2012 - 11:59 AM
Getty ImagesDid anyone else forget that the Grammys are on this Sunday (Monday morning for us)?
Wow this year is just racing by.
So what goodies have they got lined up for us. Well, this year we’ll see special performances from Foo Fighters, David Guetta, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown (Booo) and Deadmau5. It’s a celebration of Electronic Music or House Music if you’re over 35. Not so sure the Foo Fighters will be too fussed being lumped in with the button pushers.
Other guests include Glen Campbell, Coldplay and Rihanna. Plus old school crooner Tony Bennett will perform with Carrie Underwood.

The Fooeys are back with another rockin' video for their new hit "These Days"!
The video is very much a life on the road look at the Foos when they were here in Australia in December, pretty cool huh?

The Brits Awards are just around the corner (Feb. 21) and I’ll assume you’d like to know who has been nominated. The nominations are based on record sales and radio air play so talent isn’t necessarily a prerequisite. But saying that there are some very talented acts on the list this year including - Adele, Artic Monkeys, Jessie J, Kate Bush (ask your mum), Noel Gallagher and Coldplay to name just a few.
Most of the nominations are UK based acts much like we do over here with the ARIA’s. There is a splattering of international acts with the usual artists Gaga, Beyonce, Foo Fighters, Kanye West etc.
And 20 odd years after making their break through Blur will be awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award and well deserved to.
So in my best announcers voice the nominations for the 2012 Brit Awards are:-
Foo Fighters Rock The World. Literally. Posted by Jason 20 December, 2011 - 1:12 PM

It's a known fact that Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters rock.
But did you know that they rock so hard that they shook the earth?
GeoNet detected seismic tremors 1.5-2kms from the Fooies gig at Auckland's Western Springs Speedway the other week.
According to the boffins, "concert vibrations were recorded as a semi continuous harmonic signal with a peak osculation of 3Hz, i.e. the ground was shaking 3 times per second in a nice rhythmic motion…The cause of the shaking is most likely the weight of the 50,000 fans dancing, as 50,000 fans is equal to around 5,000 tonnes of mass moving (or moshing) on the ground for the duration of the concert."
