I bet you guys are wondering what old Lindsay Lohan is up to lately right? Well...she's in India. Yeah, we weren't expecting that answer either.
When we first heard LiLo travelled to the sub-continent we immediately thought she was there to buy up India's entire supply of hair extensions. Her earning power ain't what it used to be you know, maybe she's had to cut out the middle man and go straight to the hair source!
But no, she has made the trek to do some charity work for the Interface Foundation, set up by philanthropist Scott Lazerson. The foundation "leverages the power of business & celebrity for the benefit of high impact charities" and they want to "bring people face to face to change the world". Amongst other things they aim to reduce child mortality, combat malaria and improve maternal health.
Yeah, we don't really get how a coked up Hollywood starlet can help them with these lofty aims either. Anyway, turns out Lindsay isn't exactly a massive fan of the Indian experience. Apparently she is "a little overwhelmed and a little freaked out" and “is trying to be a trooper but the whole experience is a little scary.”
Scary because.....there's a lack of spray tan facilities in India? Because they don't have a Starbucks or a Kitson franchise?
Apparently Linds doesn't feel safe with her single bodyguard. Clearly the entire Indian police force should be mobilised to protect a star of her stature! HELLLOOO! And there's rumours that she isn't there purely for humanitarian purposes as she's been spotted with a film crew and allegedly making a documentary about human trafficking. Watch out Michael Moore.
We will leave the last word to LiLo herself, who has put on a brave face and taken to Twitter to express her sentiments about her supposedly life changing experience.
“Over 40 children saved so far...... Within one day's work...... This is what life is about..... Doing THIS is a life worth living!!! Oh, and I'm talking about being in India." Thanks for clearing that up darlin.
