Cast your mind back a few years. The OC was one the highest rating shows in the world and it's star Mischa Barton was sitting atop the Hollywood heap. A spunky young actress named Lindsay Lohan was slaying it at the box office with the adorable Freaky Friday and the cult classic, Mean Girls.  They were both walking definitions of  'the It Girl'.  But somewhere along the way they both lost their damn minds.

To be honest, neither of us really got the whole OC thing. It seemed like two shows. One was awesome, clever and funny (any scene with Adam Brody as the hilarious Seth Cohen) and the other was inane, boring and cheesy (any scene starring Mischa).

We also hated how the way people carried on as though it was the noughties version Beverly Hills 90210. LIES! Nothing can ever live up to the brilliance of Dylan Mckay and Brenda Walsh!

Anyway, Mischa is literally one of the worst actresses to ever grace the screen. But with the help of super stylist Rachel Zoe, a strict low carb diet and clever publicist she managed to transcend her lack of talent and become a Big Name. Then the OC got cancelled, she started dating the truly hideous Cisco Adler and to be frank...got kinda fat.

When the only thing you have going for you is your looks, it probably ain't advisable to chub up. Just saying. So what does Mischa do with herself now? She floats in and out of rehab, stars in movies about the Russian group TATU (yes, really) and enjoys getting photographed wearing cut out lycra dresses that make her look like a Christmas ham. Mmmm...ham.

As for Lindsay, well y'all know how crazy she turned out to be. We adored the curvy red haired Lindsay, with her freckled cheeks and feisty attitude. New crack head Lindsay that looks like she woke up on the floor of a 24 hour pub? Not so much.

And lets not even get started on the rumours floating around the internet about Linds and Mischa having sexy times in the back of a limo. In full view of their hangers on. Gross x 1000.

  Lindsay needs to get herself a good film role so that she can get back on track. She's a great actress which we shouldn't forget!
