Twice the Taylor

The two Taylor's have been snapped pashing!

It seems that the pair have become inseparable, Twilight hottie Taylor Lautner has been spotted backstage as Taylor Swift recently performed on stage in L.A. Sources say he later headed straight to her dressing room.

Once they were together they definitely seemed like a couple. Lautner spent most of his time with the country pop singer, but was also spotted chatting with her mum... things must be getting serious!

Seeing these two beautiful young things falling in love (or lust) makes me want to be 18 again. Although I must say even at my youthful best I never looked like Taylor Swift. Not only is she gorgeous but also sweet as apple pie. Young, good looking, talented and rich! Good luck to them I say. Let's hope they don't end up in rehab by 30.

Here is my recipe for success 'Taylors'. An apple cake almost as sweet as Miss Swift herself!

Enjoy x Kate

Apple Cake (Serves 12)

Ingredients
450g apples, peeled, cored and sliced
squeeze of lemon
225g unsalted butter, soft
250g castor sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 eggs, lightly beaten
350g self-raising flour
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp freshly ground nutmeg
1 tbsp milk
1 cup + icing sugar

Method
Pre-heat oven to 170C. Sprinkle the chopped apples with 2 tablespoons of sugar and a squeeze of lemon and allow to stand for half an hour. Beat butter, vanilla and castor sugar until pale and creamy. Gradually add the eggs and flour, a little at a time, until they are incorporated. Drain the apples (reserve the liquid for the icing) and fold into the cake mixture along with the remaining ingredients. Spoon into a greased and lined 23-centimetre ring tin. Bake for 1¼ hours, or until lightly golden on top and a skewer comes out clean when inserted in the middle. Allow to cool on a wire rack and cover in icing.
For the icing. Mix enough icing sugar with the liquid from the apples to make a smooth pouring consistency. Pour over cooled cake and serve once icing has set.
