Movie Review: The House Bunny

When Shelly, a 27 year old playboy bunny, is kicked out of the playboy mansion she thinks her life is over. That is until she stumbles apon a collage sorority in desperate need of a makeover. They are about to lose there house unless shelly can whip these scocially clueless ugly ducklings into uber popular campus cuties.
Movie Review: Star Wars - The Clone Wars
Stav 20 August, 2008 - 12:01 PM
Star Wars hits our screens again, this time in animated form, with "The Clone Wars". The film takes place between episodes 2 and 3 in the trilogy and deals with the oft mentioned but barely seen battle between the droid army and the Jedi lead clones.
Movie Review: The Strangers

Another "Based on true events" movie hits our screens and while none of what we see is actually factual, the horror and torment inflicted on a young couple through the course of a night is terrifyingly plausible.
Movie Review: The Bank Job
Stav 31 July, 2008 - 11:30 AM
Aaah. The old "Based on fact" subtitle at the start of a film! It's getting to the point where movies that say that could be about anything from mermaids to aliens.
Movie Review: The X-Files
Stav 24 July, 2008 - 7:05 AM
Mulder and Scully. One of the biggest television phenomenon's of the Nineties. The antics of the two F.B.I investigators were "must see TV." for five of The X-Files nine season's. I must confess I was an avid fan, even staying on after Duchovny had left the show and it petered out with more of a whimper than a bang (unless you count the one between Mulder and Scully).
Movie Review: The Dark Knight
Stav 16 July, 2008 - 9:12 AM
Heath Ledger is amazing. A-maze-ing. His portrayal of The Joker is one of the finest screen villains I've ever seen. Every time he shows up the movie erupts into chaos and he is given a few genuinely shocking scenes (don't give him your pencil…..) it's a fantastic piece of acting that is worthy of the Oscar buzz its creating.
Movie Review: Mama Mia
Stav 7 July, 2008 - 8:58 AM
The whole thing felt a little too much like a stage musical, with everyone overacting and lights and back up dancers appearing when required and then disappearing for the talky bits. I am also not a fan of Abba and may miss some of the humour of seeing their songs being used to tell a story.
Movie Review: Definitely Maybe
Stav 7 July, 2008 - 8:46 AM
A single father tells his daughter Maya the story of how he met her mother. The twist is Will has changed the name's in the story so its up to Maya , and us, to guess who her mum is. Is this just your average romantic comedy or something more?
Movie Review: Get Smart
Stav 25 June, 2008 - 3:35 PM
Another week, another remake of a classic! So what sets Get Smart apart from your Dukes of Hazards or your Bewitcheds?
Movie Review: The Mist
Stav 25 June, 2008 - 3:29 PM
Adaptations of Stephen King's works are either completely pants, (see Dreamcatcher, Sleepwalkers etc.) or fantastic (the Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me).So it was with trepidation that I took on The Mist.
