Lily Allen, Big Day Out 2010 Melbourn

Review - Adelaide

Perfect 30 degree weather kept more than 35,000 music lovers dancing from day to night to some of the hottest acts of the moment.

Kasabian rocked out early in the day followed by some serious beats thanks to Dizzee, who had the fans going bonkers before he even took to the stage.

Lily Allen kept the crowd going and kept all those Britney fans happy with her rendition of 'Womanizer'.

Powderfinger had everyone in the stands singing in unison before Groove Armada finished the night with fans going crazy in the Boiler Room.

Highlight

The spectacular performance by Muse, best watched hundreds of metres above the air in the Slingshot!

Adelaide offered the perfect setting for fans to enjoy a brilliant day out.

Review - Melbourne

An Aussie day BBQ (sitting around a radio) versus BDO, there’s no contest!

You were spoilt for choice with big beats from the boiler room, poppy performances from Lily Allen on the main stage, music to jump around to from Dizzee Rascal and altenative tunes from Temper Trap.

There’s something special about the Silent Disco, dancing to a song while the person next you dances to something different, and it’s even stranger to take the headphones off and hear everyone singing Jacko's "Thriller" to no music!

Jet, Eskimo Joe and Powderfinger gave everyone songs to sing along to. But it was Brit boys Muse who topped it all off with a laser show... and that was all before Groove Armada ended the night with "Superstylin"!

Highlight

Watching Lily Allen stumble around the stage, with a fag in her mouth, singing Britney's 'Womanizer'!

Lowlight

The long queques for EVERYTHING!

Review - Sydney Jan 22

UK rapper Dizzee Rascal left everyone talking with a blazing set that saw thousands of hot, shirtless fans at the main stage go totally bonkers. Poor Lily Allen had to follow up and she had no chance even with her colourful kaftan.

When the sun came down Muse gave us a rock spectacular with an amazing light show. While Powderfinger proved mass sing-a-longs are their specialty.

And the crowd? Nowhere near as aggro as last year, and with the heat the way it was and over 70 acts to see hats off must go to the BDO organisers who kept everyone chilled with free water, free sunscreen and free yummy iced tea!

Highlight

Meeting a tripper who hitch-hiked his way all the way from Ulladulla and, yes, seeing thousands of people dancing like no tomorrow to Dizzee. Amazing!

Lily Allen. Word backstage was this may be her last hurrah before heading to Hollywood.

Big Day Out Goes Dizzee

The Sydney leg of the Big Day Out was hot and we're not just talking about the weather!

Review - Gold Coast BDO

Fabulous weather, over 50 great acts and lots of ridiculously good looking people. Plus, pure gold from Dizzie Rascal, Lily Allen and Muse made this one special day.

Dizzie Rascal was the crowd mover of the night, while The Brit invasion was complete with Muse’s melodic tones seeing out the night.

Despite their being a whiff of "been there, seen it, done it before" to the 2010 line-up, as a BDO virgin I wasn't going to let that spoil the day.

Highlight

Enjoying the beats of Canadian electric popstar Peaches in the portaloo complete with toilet paper on my thongs.

Lowlight

Forgetting my ID and spending the day hunting for the soft drinks stand only to discover I was the only one there.

I cannot believe it. I stayed up all night to get tickets at 12, they declined, then 9am, I tried and sold out so fast, I didn't even get a chance.
I am so sad, I am crying right now.
The Horrors, my favourite band in the whole world is playing and I heard they aren't doing side shows. I can't believe it! I am so beside myself, I wanted to meet them so bad, now I am depressed and lacking of sleep. Gosh, FML! Are there any competitions to win tickets? Please, I really need to go. :)

SUSIE i am the same, i stayed up till midnight last night for tickets and by the time i had entered in my credit card details it said sold out! (at 12:12am) and this morning i was on ticketmaster from 9am and they where on sale for 2 SECONDS then sold out straight away. I cant believe it! And the scalpers already have them on ebay for $350-$400. I dont want to give my hard earned money to a fat low-life sitting behind a computer screen scalping tickets on ebay!!! Not Fair!!! and i am annoyed at Ticketmaster for stuffing up and putting tickets on sale last night so many people got them before they were suppose to. Not a very happy Jan!! please have a competition to win Sydney BDO Tickets!!!!!!!!

my favourite band Kasabian is playing at big day out, but the tickets are already sold out! I couldn't see Kasabian when they visited in august because they only did pub gigs for over 18s, and now I've missed the only chance I had of seeing them.
Do you have any competitions for tickets?
