Gigs & Tours Guide
2010 Bluesfest Byron Bay
Music 30 January, 2010 - 2:43 PM
One of the original and the best when it comes to Australian Festivals, BLUESFEST is celebrating its 21st Anniversary in 2010 with artists coming across the world just to be in Byron for it.
With Jack Johnson, The Fray, Donavon Frankenreiter and Ozomatli (Bluesfest favourites) venturing from the States, you will also find the best in home-grown talent. Jimmy Barnes will be playing the Rhythm and the Blues, Crowded House will be playing for the very first time and John Butler will be showing off his new Trio.
Not to mention the infectious zeal and energy from Blue King Brown’s urban roots grooves will be performing along with the ever simple and delicate brother/sister combo that is folk duo Angus & Julia Stone.
But wait! There’s more! A third round of artists will be announced on Wednesday 27th January 2010. As if having Newton Faulkner AND Jessica Mauboy at the same festival isn’t enough.
Tip: Prepare your sweet tooth and trawl through the abundance of stalls waiting for you.
When: Thursday 1st April until Monday 5th April 2010
Where: Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm – Just outside of Byron Bay.
