Gigs & Tours Guide

Playground weekender Posted by Music 7 December, 2009 - 12:35 PM

Pack your tent... we’re going camping!

You heard me; we’re heading down to Wiseman’s Ferry for Playground Weekender. With a plethora of outstanding artists both international and home grown, you will feel a lifetime away from the stresses of work and life in general at the glorious Del Rio.

Grammy nominee Lupe Fiasco will be there for the ride, as will The Polyphonic Spree, The Cribs, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Jamie Lidell.

Why not try something a little quirky and out there and check out Bjorn Again – after all they have outlived ABBA by many years.

Don’t forget to pack your fancy dress costume for the Saturday. Dig into the dress up box and come as anything you ever dreamed of. Don’t stress if you don’t have the best outfit at home, there will be a Fancy Dress Hire shop on site to help you complete your outfit.

With six stages, yoga to relax you, a cinema, cocktail bar and even a hairdresser, you will be not only entertained, but rejuvenated and alive by the end of your Playground Weekender.

Tip: Practice your supermodel shimmy for the Catwalk at the So So Carnivale area.
