Well, so she says on her debut Australian single 'I Kissed a Girl'.

Take note people - this chick is going to be HUGE! Known to her parents as Katheryn Hudson, this 23-year-old beauty from California is the voice behind this soon-to-be-mega hit. And no, it's not a cover of the silly Jill Sobule song.

Landing in the sweet spot somewhere between Pink and Lily Allen, the sexy song looks set to echo its American success (it's presently sitting at #4 on the US single charts) and will no doubt be a smash hit in the clubs here (we can already imagine the effect it might have).

Also keep an eye out for her other cheeky hit singler 'U R So Gay', presently released in the States.

Both songs comes from Katy's forthcoming album One of the Boys which is his first foray into the pop world. She released her debut album Katy Hudson in 2001, although this was mainly christian rock music.

And for the record, she's not singing 'the taste of her cherry chopstick' - it's chapstick. Yeah we got it wrong too.

  I've heard more off her new album (One Of The Boys) and it's GREAT. Her lyrics have a certain humour to them and her music has a great sound. Vocally fantastic!!!! Love her heaps.....
