Is it the end of Lily Allen's singing career?

According to a post on her personal blog, It's Not Alright, Allen writes that she has decided not to renegotiate her record contract nor does she plan to make another album.

Allen has recently been an advocate against music piracy, coming out in support of British government proposals to block known file-sharers from using the internet.

"The days of me making money from recording music has been and gone as far as i'm concerned, so i don't(at this point) stand to profit from legislation. except future purchases of previously recorded material(which wont be much)."

Allen now seems to have caught the acting bug, signing up to appear in Reasons To Be Pretty, a West End play by Neil LaBute, a highly regarded filmmaker and playwright.

Will you miss Lily Allen?

  I will dearly miss Lily's music as she has been one of my favourite artist for the past few years and if you are reading this Lily: I'm begging you to not quit your music career even though you wanto to. Think about how all your fans would feel if you did this to them. Once again, don't quit!!!!!
