Oprah has just given Kristian Anderson and his family $250k to cover medical costs and spend more time together.

As well as the above Oprah and her team have also given every kid & teacher at Sydney's Canterbury Boys High a laptop and they're renovating the library & music room. The gift is worth $1 million!

Sydneysider Kristian Anderson, 35, has been having chemotherapy since he was diagnosed with cancer in October 2009. He made this video for his wife of seven years, Rachel, as a birthday present and a thank-you for her support.

The video features cameos by New Zealand Prime Minister John Key – since Rachel is a Kiwi – and the gorgeous Hugh Jackman!

"He loves you Rachel ... he loves you," Hugh says in the video, which also features Kristian and Rachel's two young sons Cody, 3, and Jakob, 1.

As we said, tissues at the ready!
