Zac Efron Fever at 17 Again Premiere Posted by Kiki & Sassy 13 March, 2009 - 9:31 AM

IT WAS PANDEMONIUM. We're not kidding, darlings.  There were overwhelmed Efron fans everywhere, posters, signs, cameras, home made shirts, and we may still be deaf from all the screaming.  We may also have been doing some of the screaming, but if anyone asks we were totally cool.  At one point we're pretty sure a suffocating girl behind the public barrier mouthed 'HELP' across the red carpet. It was brutal, for reals.

We'll say one thing though, it was worth it for an Efron sighting.  Although, we have to be honest. Kiki's view of Zac was slightly obscured. She was so overcome by his beauty she spent the entire time clutching onto Sassy's arm, hiding behind her shoulder and whispering OHMYGOD OHMYGOD OHMYGOOOOOD. Poor Sassy has claw marks indented in her cute vintage cardigan.

Zef is suprisingly teensy - maybe 5'7, tops - but that boy can rock a suit.  We were tres impressed. We also enjoy that he was sporting his Serious Actor hair. This involves super slicked back hair, a side part, and a bit of an Elvis lock of hair on the forehead, if you were wondering. 

Not to mention that Zef may be the sweetest celeb we've ever met, at least while we were sober.  He was so in love with the 2day crew  (Hi Geoff the newsreader!) on the red carpet that he hung out for twice as long as his handlers would have liked, he even casually leaned on the barrier. We were SO CLOSE we could have licked his face. (We managed to restrain ourselves, which is why we are able to tell you this. There's no blogging in overnight lock-up).

 He chatted about musicals and 17 again. Zef spilled that he hasn't even started learning his dance moves yet for the upcoming remake of Footloose. Can we suggest ourselves as tutors?  We could bring over a Deneice Williams cassette and braid each other's hair when we're done.

We should also probably apologise to Efron. We giggled like halfwits whenever he came near us and stared at him intensely (aka creepily), as though trying to commit every detail of his face to memory. Sassy and he totally had A Moment, which was kinda cute. As he walked away, Kiki finally unglued herself from behind Sassy's back and called out 'BYE ZAC' and he threw his head back and giggled in a sort of ... bemused way.  He was probably thinking 'why is that journalist all flustered like a 12 yr old girl High School Musical fan? ' Sorry if we freaked you out Zac!  This is why they can't let us out in public too often.

Apparently there were other celebrities there, but our eyes could only see the Efron, and our ears could only hear the screaming.

  he totes has started learning his dance moves, he just wanted to sound tough in front on you girls im sure.

  I've seen the trailer for 17 again so many time, it's not funny; you'l find it if you type in '17 again' into google. and in the trailer he takes his shirt off. Squeak!!!!!!
