Car Crashes Into Toll Booth On The Sydney Harbour Bridge
Earlier this morning, drivers were facing major delays after a car crashed into a toll booth on the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
It’s believed a 4WD slammed into the booth at the northern entrance on the Cahill Expressway, and subsequently blocked two lanes just before 6:20am.
The two people in the car had to be freed by emergency personnel and were then taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for medical checks. Luckily, their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The lanes were re-opened just in time for peak hour traffic at 7:30am.
Repairs have been made to the damaged toll booths, and the accident added about 10 minutes to drivers’ commutes.
