Pretty sure this guy's going to be one AMAZING husband.

Whilst being pulled from the wreckage of a helicopter crash, an Aussie man has proposed to his long-term girlfriend in New Zealand.

Sydney couple Mitchell Green and Kaydee Gosper were on their way to a romantic spot near Mount Sale in Queenstown on Monday, when the helicopter they were travelling in crashed after attempting a snow landing.

Green suffered leg injuries, but wasn't going to let that stop him from popping the question to his girlfriend of 7 years.

Gosper, speaking to the NZ Herald, explained how the proposal went down.

"Mitch, he couldn't walk, he had his arm around me. We were trying to get away from the helicopter and he said he couldn't wait any longer. He pulled it [the ring] out and he put it on my finger," she said.

A total of 6 passengers were onboard, and emergency services confirmed that only one person had suffered leg injuries. Green underwent surgery following the crash.

The Transport Accident Investigation Commission (TAIC) is investigating the accident, and the pilot has been stood down from flying indefinitely.
