Three Men Rescued After Getting Stuck On Uluru
Three young men have been winched to safety after climbing up iconic Australian landmark Uluru yesterday and getting stuck.
The men in their 20s, went through a restricted area and starting climbing up the sacred rock on Monday afternoon, before getting stuck in a crevice.
It took emergency crews around eight hours to sucessfully winch them off the rock.
The traditional Anangu people who live near Uluru request tourists do not climb the rock, although they do not ban it outright.
The group have been labelled 'total idiots' as the story went viral on social media.
Over the years, around 35 people have died while trying to scale the sandstone giant.
