Sydney Covered In Fog
Roads, ferries and the airport are being troubled by thick fog which has blanketed Sydney this morning.
Visibility is low on the roads with all Harbour City Ferries cancelled. Ferry passengers are advised that they can use their tickets on rail and bus services. Manly Fast Ferries and Sydney Fast Ferries are still running.
Some Sydney bound flights have also been cancelled with others being diverted to Melbourne and Brisbane. Authorities have advised that some flights may still be able to take off and land despite the conditions. Travellers are being urged to contact their carrier for the latest flight information.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a fog warning for the roads with motorists advised to exercise extreme caution due to reduced visibility.
Weatherzone meteorologist Rob Sharpe believes that despite initial forecasts, conditions may not clear until later in the morning.
