WARNING: Disturbing Footage Of Giant Flesh-Eating Leech Swallowing Large Worm

Deep in the forests of Borneo lives a rare and very scary giant leech… now a BBC documentary crew have captured it in action for the first time.

The creature is so new that it’s yet to be given a scientific name, and is known to locals simply as the ‘Giant Red Leech.’

The species is one of the biggest in the world and the leech in the footage was around 30cm long, but they can grow much larger. 

In the BBC’s new documentary, Wonders of the Monsoon, the Giant Red Leech shows off its predatory skills as it follows a 78cm blue worm before latching on to it

Then, despite their difference in size, the leech easily slurps the giant worm down down like spaghetti… it has to be seen to be believed!
