Meet The World's Oldest Identical Twins; Inseparable At 103 Years Old

Florence Davies and Glenys Thomas were one year old when the Titanic sank in 1912.

Glenys' daughter, Gwenda Stacey has told the Daily Mail that the two sisters are inseparable, and have lived a "very simple life."

"Neither Mam or Aunty Flo can drive.  They never went abroad.  But they were always happiest together."

The twins grew up in a small mining town in South Wales in the UK, however Glenys moved out of her house after she married her miner husband.

A couple of years later, Florence bought the house next to her sister's so they could be close to each other again.

"For all their independent years, they lived side by side - raising families together, shopping, socialising and cooking together too," Gwenda explained.

But old age started to take its toll on the pair, and their mental health started to deteriorate.  It was at that time when Flo and Glenys where placed into the same care home.

Gwenda says "they have adjoining rooms so they can see each other whenever they like."

"Aunty Flo does get a bit fed up with mam’s singing though. Her dementia sends her back to her childhood and she’s forever singing Calon Lan - a welsh song she’d have learnt at school."

"They are physically very well - no ailments as such. But it is their mind that’s going. It can be like they are far away and mostly they don’t remember the family. Yet they still ask for each other. Their connection is lasting and truly life long."

Such a beautiful bond between two sisters.
