This New iPhone Feature Will Be Annoying AF… But We Don’t Have A Choice

Seriously, WTF Apple?

Apple are set to make more users angry with a rumoured feature of the iPhone 7, set to be released in 2016.

Apparently they’re going to ditch the universal 3.5mm headphone jack, instead using a lightning port similar to the charger.

For customers, this means we won’t be able to buy any headphones of our choice and plug them in. We’ll be forced to use Apple’s specific EarPods with a lightning connector.

The reason for the change will be to allow the iPhone 7 to be thinner. A lightning port would save 1mm in thickness, bringing the iPhone 7 down to 6.1mm.

Rumour has it another option will be for users to use wireless Bluetooth headphones or purchase an adaptor to attach older headphone jacks.

This isn’t the first time Apple have introduced a controversial feature. They ditched the built-in DVD drive for the newer Macbook laptops, and were criticised at the time. However, the product still sells well. Who knows, maybe this could actually be a change for the better?
