I'm the afternoon host on 2DayFM, and I'm loving Sydney life! Here's ten reasons why I reckon this is the best city in the world this week - and I'd love to know what you think!

1: AVENUE Q
I grew up watching episodes of Sesame Street aiming to get home from Primary School to get my fix of Bert and Ernie, and the Cookie monster singing that classic 'C is for Cookie!' Avenue Q is like a Sesame Street for big kids! It had a raging season in Broadway and has hit Sydney. It’s got the puppets, the catching songs but is strictly for adults only! It’s on at the Theatre Royale until September 6th. With tickets starting from $39, this is one show you don’t want to miss!

Get the details here.

2: My Sister’s Keeper
From the writer of the ‘Notebook’ - Nick Cassavetes comes his next piece of work “My Sister’s Keeper” on the big screen. Starring Cameron Diaz, this film is about a young girl Kate who is diagnosed with leukaemia. Her parent’s conceive another child ‘Anna’ who is engineered to have matching bone marrow to help Kate. This is a real eye opener which makes you realise how precious life really is. It’s in cinemas now, a must see.

3. Taronga Zoo
I recently went to Taronga Zoo, and left wanting to become a Zoologist so I could play with the chimps. I’ll stick to this radio thing for now, but will definitely be going back to see Sydney Biggest Baby! Luk Chai was born in July, weighing about 100kg, he is the cutest thing to step into the new elephant exhibit at Taronga Zoo. Get a ferry over from Circular Quay and make a day at the zoo to see Luk Chai. I now want to become a zoologist to take care of elephants!

4: Bungy Dome
If you are heading into Darling Harbour over the weekend, head to the giant Bungy Dome that is next to the Convention Centre. I am hanging to try Bungy Jumping in New Zealand, but for those who think jumping off a bridge with jump a rope isn’t a great idea, here is your alternative! You can fly around 7 metres high in the air, doing tricks and having a blast. Only ten bucks to have a go too, cheap thrill!

5: Adult Dance Classes
After watching that wedding Youtube Video of the couple bopping down to isle to Chris Brown. My new ambition is to learn how to dance. Having two left feet, I am keen to bring spring to my step and dance jive, hip hop and more. The place to learn is Sydney Dance Company. With over 60 classes available & prices starting from $14

Lets Dance!

6: Exposed! The Story Of Swimwear
With the feeling of summer in the air, it’s time to think bikinis! But before we strip down for the summer of 09/10, time to take a step back in history and learn about the humble bikini. Exposed! The Story of Swimwear is a cheeky insight to the beginning of bathers back in the 1900’s. Best thing is it’s free to check out. It’s on now at the Australian National Maritime Museum.

7: Yulefest in the Blue Mountains!
Not ready to say goodbye to winter yet? Head to the mountains and celebrate Yulefest in the Blue Mountains! The season finishes at the end of August. You can spend a day experiencing a white Christmas in July, with plenty of yuletide food, wine, music and an extra winter’s chill with the odd snow flake. This sounds like a nice weekend for couples or families! Call 1300 653 408 for more details.

8: Walk for Autism
I found this great charity event you should be a part of this weekend. The 2009 Walk for Autism is on this Sunday morning from 9am at the Sydney International Regatta Centre. The Luke Priddis Foundation and Little by Little Inc will be raising money to help kids with Autism and other special needs. A morning of exercise all for a good cause, sounds good to me.

9: NRL
Seriously, where the heck has this year gone?! It’s up to round 24 in the footy, and with finals just around the corner, those teams vying for spots in the final 8, winning is crucial! My raiders are out of it, and the roosters & sharks are battling it out for the wooden spoon. I hope your team has better luck this year.

Check out this rounds draw, including where they are playing near you!

10: Skydiving
I've alway wanted to jump out of a plane, but I reckon I would get up high and s*** my pants and pull out! They say it's life ultimate thrill, why not take the plunge hurtling 200km/h through the sky falling to the ground 7,500 metres above you! I'll do it if you do it first :-)
