Pingas - Producer

As a teenager I was an obsessed Hot30 fan, it was my dream to work on the show and be like Ugly Phil & Jackie O. So I began work for several community radio stations (Hitz FM Melbourne, KISS FM Melbourne, SYN FM Melbourne etc) as an on air announcer, newsreader, panel op, producer & voice artist.

I then made my move to commercial radio and worked as a phone bitch for TTFM’s “Melbourne’s Most Wanted” with Andy Grace (now Mix FM). After a year, I joined Austereo and became a Community Switchboard volunteer for FOX FM & Triple M Melbourne to get my foot in the door. I eventually joined the Black Thunders & Triple M street team, while working as a station receptionist and voiceover artist.

I then got my first big producing gig with Hamish & Andy for 2 years, I also worked on other shows like “Rove Live Radio”, “Pete’s Show” with Peter Helliar, “The Arvo” with Peter Helliar & Judith Lucy and “Australian First”. I then moved to Brisbane to work on the B105 Breakfast Show with “Labby, Camilla & Stav”. After 3 years I gave up breakfast hours to work nights on the Hot30 Countdown. Yay!

Web Guy - Online Content Producer

I initially wanted to work in marketing or advertising as some sort of creative person, so I studied marketing and advertising at UTS (University of Technology, Sydney), and really got into the interwebs whilst I was studying.

The week before my last ever uni exam (I graduated, by the way), I landed a job in the online department at a top-notch advertising agency, but after a year I realised that being a "Mad Man" was not for me.

Took a punt at a web designer role for this radio station, and now my job description keeps changing. I now know how to shoot and edit video, take photos on an SLR camera, write articles online and talk on the wireless!
