Eat Fat, Lose Weight... Posted by Maddison Carter 17 November, 2009 - 1:18 PM

This diet sounds ideal, no wonder celebs are rumoured to love it! Find out how it works.

Full-Fat Diet

Celebs that are rumored to love it:

Sarah Jessica Parker and Sharon Stone

The hype:

We’ve all heard of ‘low-fat diets’, well this one is the opposite, it endorses full-fat foods.

The brain behind this diet is American dietician, Esther Blum, who says we need to ditch the preconception that low-fat foods are better for us. “We live in a fat-free culture. Women have done their bodies a disservice because we have disrupted our hormones to a phenomenal degree.”

Blum also says that low-fat foods can actually make us fat. She explains that the body mistakenly recognizes them as carbohydrates, and unless you burn what you eat through exercise, you will stack on the kilos.

In this diet you are allowed to eat things like, rice, cheese- cottage, goat’s feta, chocolate, chips, avocado, biscuits, eggs and bacon.

Blum bans pasteurized milk, soya, white flour and water drunk from plastic bottles

As for exercise, the Hollywood guru dietician recommends “only doing things that you really enjoy to get results.” For example, gardening, walking, playing tennis and swimming at the beach.

What do you think to this diet? Would it work for you?

That sounds great...I'm always eating low fat and I'm bored of it, I'll definitely be trying this!
